Pets can provide us with many lessons while they are in our lives. One main lesson they teach us is unconditional love. That’s what I receive from my dog Daisy on a constant basis.

Daisy is an exceptional dog though, at least that’s what people say. We got her when she was 6 weeks old and I had her housebroken in 2 weeks. That’s when she first went to the door by herself and scratched, letting us know she wanted to go “out”. During those 2 weeks, she never did anything put pee in a few places. She never pooped. As a matter of fact, she only did that once and she was sick at the time. Anyway, I digress.

Daisy is a very loving dog. When someone comes to the house, she picks up immediately whether they are a friend or not from us. Once they enter, she gives them a very boisterous welcome like they are a long lost friend just back from an extended trip. Heck, I get treated this way every time I come in the house, no matter whether I just left, or have been gone for hours or days. It’s hard to come home in a bad mood and stay that way with Daisy around.

Our pets actually accept us as we all wish to be accepted really. Without judgment. Well, that is if they aren’t mistreated. They love us no matter what we do. We can fail miserably at something and still our pets will greet us at the door with love. We can get fired from our job, and still it doesn’t matter to them. Some of you may say, well they are only dumb animals after all, but they are far more intelligent than we give them credit. And really, since we have not mastered unconditional love, are we that much more evolved than they are? If only we humans could master unconditional love, the world would definitely be a much better place.

It seems every where you go, you are always being judged by someone, for one reason or other. People we don’t even know, and would probably never know, will look at us and immediately judge us on our looks, what we are wearing, how we are carrying ourselves, whether we’re with someone or not, the list goes on and on. How many times have you been judged by someone you love because you didn’t do what they thought you should do? And how many times have you judged someone yourself? I’m sure if you look deep in your memory (for some you might not have to think that far back) and I’m sure you’ll find an instance when you judged someone, be it unfairly or not.

But our pets don’t do that to us. If we do raise our voice to them and spout off with a stream of negativity, they still come to us with love in their hearts. If we perhaps forget to feed them on time, they still show us loving adoration. Plain and simple, they just love us for being who we are. No matter what we do, they will send back a steady stream of love to us.

So the next time you feel yourself judging someone, think about your pet and the unconditional love you receive from them. Then look at that person you were getting ready to judge and send loving vibrations towards them.

You might be surprised at what could happen.

Peace, Abundance, and Blessings,

Gary
